Momentum

Checking accounts are a great way to introduce financial responsibility through budgeting and money management.

Why an AlaTrust Student Debit Card?

  • You (or a guardian) can control the card from our Card Command App, allowing them to turn it on and off whenever needed
  • Using AlaTrust to store their fund allows the money to be insured and backed by the NCUA. Other Students Apps, Debit, and Cash cards that are not with a legal credit union or bank do not have these same protections in place.
  • Easily transfer money to and from your child’s account

Eligibility: Students aged 8 and older are eligible to open a checking account with us. However, parental/grandparent consent is required for those under 19, and the parent/grandparent must be eligible for the account based on their credit score.
